Doch kein Nachwuchs

Ich bin mir zwar nicht ganz sicher, aber ich glaube und befürchte, dass mein Meerschweinchen Skye vor ein paar Nächten Ihre Babys tot zur Welt gebracht haben muß und sie dann aufgefressen hat (oder die anderen waren es). Denn ich habe am Morgen keine Anzeichen der Geburt gesehen, aber Skye war nicht mehr dick und rund und hat sich auch ganz anders verhalten. Ihre Zitzen sind dafür aber sehr geschwollen gewesen. Mittlerweile geht das aber zurück. Ihr denkt jetzt sicher, sie war bestimmt gar nicht schwanger...möglich. Aber dann muß ich mich echt sehr getäuscht haben, denn ich habe die kleinen ja gespürt, als ich sie vorsichtig am Bauch gestreichelt hatte. Skye ist selbst noch sehr jung und von daher kann es gut sein, dass sie durch den Stress einer neuen Umgebung die Babys tot zur Welt gebracht hat und sie aufgefressen hat. Soetwas kommt leider bei Meerschweinchen öfter vor. Es ist zwar traurig, dass nun kein Nachwuchs kommt, aber ich bin froh, dass es Skye zumindest gut geht.
